Our story begins on May 1, 1988 when Il Man Chung and Sam Soon Chung opened up the very first Koa Pancake House on the island of Oahu. This dine-in restaurant got its name by its interior being made out of the fine textured Hawaiian Wood, Koa. Since the world has evolved into a fast-paced lifestyle, Mr. and Mrs. Chung has adapted its concept to better meet our customer's expectations. In 2001, they opened their second location in Wahiawa, Hawaii but changed the concept to a fast casual breakfast restaurant to help serve our customers more quickly and efficiently. Over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Chung has built Koa Pancake House's all across the island of Oahu bringing the total up to 6 locations.
In 2014, Mr. and Mrs. Chung passed the family business over to their son, Juno Chung. Taking the foundation that his parents have built, Juno plans to expand the business throughout the islands of Hawaii and to the continental US.
